In this role in the organisation's Infrastructure Renewals Division you will be working on track renewal / maintenance projects and you will be responsibe for the delivery of critical projects by ensuring that systems, processes, procedures, procurement and standards are compliant.
 
The person that this organisation is looking for will need to meet the following Selection Criteria:
 

• Extensive experience in a civil / building related discipline.  
  
• Demonstrated ability in the management, planning, co-ordinating, scheduling and monitoring project work allocated to the group and ensure staff are properly trained and resourced to deliver various civil / track projects.  
  
• Proven management skills and experience in managing and supervising up to 45 multi-skilled frontline civil staff carrying out major construction works.  
  
• The ability to lead and motivate a team and set appropriate behavioural standards in the workplace and the ability and skills to ask hard questions.  
  
• Have the skills to manage procurement of goods and services including plant and labour hire to ensure compliance with procurement guidelines and policies.  
  
• Good communication skills and experience in liaising with different work groups, stakeholders and clients.  
  
• The ability to implement and manage systems to monitor work processes and administration.  
  
• Proven documentation and auditing skills to ensure compliance.  
  
• The ability to comply with workplace practices and procedures that prevent and detect fraud and corruption.  
  
• Demonstrated skills and ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems and ensue a safe environment.  
  
• Ability to use appropriate computer software and data base applications if required.  
  
• Current driver's licence.  
  

This is a contract position (12 months), based in the Wollongong area and a competitive rate will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
